Naked Dough, Old Street
I spotted Naked Dough on Instagram was immediately intrigued. With an ice-cream style display of flavours, the concept looked fantastic and I just had to try it.
A small shop inside Old Street station, it's the ultimate temptation when walking past. The selection of flavours isn't too vast but as we'd agreed to share one (it's pure cookie dough, surely you can't eat a whole one to yourself?) our eyes were drawn straight to the Nutella and Kinder Bueno flavour. We went up, placed our order and the curveball of being able to add another scoop for free was thrown our way. In a panic, we decided to add the Nak-Ed Sheeran which was salted caramel and honeycomb flavour.
It was scooped into a sweet little tub, we paid the £3.50 - a bargain for London - and headed on our way. It was evident from the first bite that sharing one was a great idea. With every bite you could feel the sugar crunching and your teeth disintegrating. Don't get me wrong, it was brilliant. The mix of the flavours, complimented with a piece of Bueno on the top, tasted beautiful but it was just too sickly.
Although it does get a thumbs-up, I would definitely recommend sharing one pot between two and don't make dinner plans for a good couple of hours after. You may also want to have a toothbrush to hand! I'm glad I've tried it but I wouldn't rush back.
