Hache Burgers, Multiple Locations

So admittedly, these aren't the best looking burgers I've ever eaten and in a world where every meal goes on Instagram, it wasn't exactly the display I was hoping for. We walked in to a modern restaurant with an obvious black and gold theme. The menu is made up of every burger you could imagine, from honey mustard chicken to rosemary lamb.

As you'll all know by now, I love to share meals in a bid to experience as many different menu items as possible, so all of the below was tried and tested. We ordered one rosemary lamb burger, one steak bavarian burger (although this seems to have changed slightly since my visit), some fries with melted truffle cheese sauce and Madeira jus and a portion of hummus and ciabatta.

The burgers were average. I don't know if the bar is just set so high in London for burgers that anything in comparison isn't good enough, but the lamb burger was oily and actually quite sickly, so half was definitely enough. The bavarian burger wasn't much better. It came with a rosti on top which again, made the whole burger quite greasy. There was a lot of flavour and overall they were pretty disappointing. I left with that horrible 'I've eaten too much' feeling from the oily food. The fries however, were absolutely delicious. Perfectly complimented by the truffle cheese and jus, I could have just eaten those and left satisfied. Again, the hummus was also delicious and full of flavour. You don't expect to visit a burger retaurant and enjoy everything but the burgers, that's for sure.

The atmosphere is nice and warm and they do have a bar you can sit at, so while they get the thumbs-down on the burger front, I would recommend visiting for a drink and some bar food.

You can find Hache burgers across London, situated in Balham, Camden, Chelsea, Clapham, Holborn and Shoreditch.
